Act on Co2

The government launched an initiate to try reduce peoples co2 footprint. They offer an online co2 calculator which is the first step in helping people to understand the effect of carbon dioxide and estimate how much you emit annually. Ultimately the calculator will point out the areas in which you perform the worst and how to improve these to decrease your carbon footprint.
 
Individuals co2 emissions
You may be thinking that the biggest polluters are big faceless companies and that you can't make a different just by act on co2. The government want to make it clear that everyone has an important role to play in fighting climate change and that every little really does help. Figures show that 40 percent of the UKs co2 actually comes from individuals, not companies! If everyone makes an effort to at minimum look after their own output then we really can make a difference.
 
The following can all be done to try and reduce your co2 footprint:
  • Make an effort to use public transport when possible
  • Take part in a car sharing program
  • Walk instead of driving for short distances
  • Drive sensibly as to not put your engine under extra stress
