| Whilst there are many Insurance companies providing cover within the UK, it can be extremely difficult to know which ones can be trusted and which are actually competitive to start with. As a rule of thumb, any insurer which is not authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority(FSA) should be avoided since this is a legal requirement when providing cover inside the UK. The FSA have strict quality controls and rules in place which are meant to ensure consumers are always best advised and treated as fairly as possible. Likewise the FSA provides a level of protection to insurers by forcing a high level of disclosure and logging meaning if an insurer is in the right there should be no doubt or argument. |
