Car Insurance Category

If you drive a car or leave a car on a public highway then it is a legal requirement to have a minimum of third party insurance covering that vehicle. Most people feel that they're paying too much for their car insurance and sometimes lower the level of cover to third party to try cope with the cost better. We advise on using an insurance broker who can quickly and efficiently check the market to find who is most competitive for your requirements before you decide to lower the level of cover to decrease the cost.

Car Insurance coverage
Although car insurance is legally compulsory, it is often argued that it is acceptable to drive a car which is uninsured if you have an insurance policy in place with the Driving Other Cars(DAC) extension which as the name suggests allows you to drive cars not owned by yourself on a third party basis, however the moment you park the car on a public highway such as outside a friends house then it becomes uninsured. It is hard to come to a conclusion as to whether or not driving a car under these circumstances would be considered as driving uninsured or not and as such it's not advised.
